The drive to Fairmont Quasar Istanbul
The route uses the Northern Marmara motorway and comes down onto Büyükdere Caddesi from the Levent side. About 33 kilometres and typically 40 to 55 minutes. It is one of the shorter runs from the airport to a five-star address on the European side.
Büyükdere Caddesi is the spine of the business district and carries the Mecidiyeköy junction traffic. Between 08:00 and 10:00 and again from 17:00 the final two kilometres slow considerably. Coming down from Levent rather than up from Şişli avoids the worst of it, and that is the approach we use.
