People searching for a car with driver in Istanbul usually mean one of four different things, and the wrong choice costs either money or a morning. A self-drive rental needs your licence, a credit card hold, a parking space you will not find, and the confidence to drive a city where lane discipline is a suggestion. A taxi is fine for three kilometres and unpredictable for forty. A ride app cannot enter the arrivals hall and its price rises with the traffic you are sitting in.
Chauffeur hire removes all four problems at once. You are not driving, not parking, not negotiating, and not watching a meter. The car and the driver are booked to you for a period you define, and the figure was agreed before anyone got in.

How much does it cost to hire a car with driver in Istanbul?
A point-to-point chauffeur-driven transfer starts at €40 in a ten-seat VIP Sprinter, €59 in a six-seat van or SUV, €89 in a business sedan and €99 in a luxury sedan. Hourly chauffeur hire is quoted separately, with a four-hour half day and an eight-hour full day. All prices are per vehicle and include fuel, tolls, parking, the driver’s hours and VAT.
What is the difference between chauffeur hire and car rental?
With a rental you drive, you park, and you carry the insurance excess; a licence and a credit card hold are required. With chauffeur hire a professional driver stays with the vehicle for the period you book, nothing is blocked on your card, and no licence is needed. In Istanbul the practical difference is parking — in Beşiktaş, Taksim or Sultanahmet a self-drive car is a liability rather than a convenience.
Do I need a driving licence to hire a chauffeur-driven car?
No. You are a passenger, so no licence, no international permit and no minimum age applies. This is the main reason visitors choose a car with driver over a rental for short stays.
Can I book the same chauffeur for several days?
Yes, and we recommend it for stays of three days or more. The same driver and the same vehicle are assigned for the whole period, which means by the second day they already know your schedule, your preferred routes and how much time you actually need between stops.
Does the car stay with me between stops?
Yes. For hourly and daily chauffeur hire the vehicle is reserved to you for the whole booking and waits at each stop with the driver in it. You are not re-booking a car after every meeting and not waiting for one to arrive.
Is a private chauffeur available for airport arrivals?
Yes. For arrivals the chauffeur waits inside the terminal at the arrivals exit with a name board, tracks the flight by tail number and adjusts to any delay at no extra cost. Waiting is free for 60 minutes after landing.
What happens if the day runs longer than booked?
We tell you the hourly overtime rate in the same written quote as the base price, so there is no discussion at the end of the evening. In practice most guests extend by an hour or two and it is simply added to the invoice at the agreed rate.
Are the chauffeurs employed by you?
Yes. Our chauffeurs are full-time staff on our own payroll, driving vehicles from our own fleet under our own insurance and operating licence. Bookings are not resold to a partner fleet on the day, which is where most chauffeur service arrangements fail.

How the airport pickup works at IST and SAW
Both Istanbul airports are covered, on arrival and on departure. We take the flight number at booking and the pickup moves with the aircraft, not with the clock.
Before you land
The flight is tracked from the flight number you give us and the pickup is reset to the new landing time. The 60 minutes of free waiting start from the actual landing time, not the scheduled one.
At the arrivals exit
Your chauffeur waits with a name board at the arrivals exit once you clear baggage claim, or inside the terminal if you prefer to be met earlier. The exact meeting point is sent with your booking confirmation.
Sixty minutes of free waiting
Waiting is free for 60 minutes after landing, day or night, and it is already inside the quoted price.
Luggage to the car
The chauffeur carries the bags from the meeting point to the vehicle, and from the vehicle to the door on arrival.
Two ways to be met before the exit
- Meet and greet — a representative waits at the gate as you come off the aircraft with a board bearing your name, and stays with you through the terminal.
- Airport fast track — an escorted priority lane at passport control, at IST and at SAW. It is not a VIP terminal and it does not speed up your baggage; the gain is the passport queue. Airport access is organised in advance, so we ask for details at least 24 hours ahead.

Routes we drive most, and how long they take
Istanbul Airport sits roughly 45 kilometres from the historic peninsula and 40 from Beşiktaş, so what you are buying is the drive rather than the distance. The times below are for normal traffic; between 16:00 and 20:00 on a weekday, add 20 to 30 minutes.
IST to Taksim and Beyoğlu
Around 45–60 minutes. The most requested arrival route of all.
IST to Sultanahmet and the old city
Around 40–60 minutes.
IST to Beşiktaş and the Bosphorus hotels
Around 45–70 minutes.
IST to Levent and Maslak
Around 45–75 minutes. The usual shape of a meeting day.
SAW to Kadıköy and the Asian side
Around 30–45 minutes, the shortest run from this airport.
SAW across to the European side
Around 45–65 minutes in normal traffic, and up to 90 minutes when the crossings are busy.
The price follows the vehicle class rather than the passenger count: from €40 for a Mercedes Sprinter carrying 10 passengers plus the chauffeur, €59 for a Mercedes V-Class VIP Vito, €89 for an E-Class or EQS and €99 for an S-Class, per vehicle. Price, payment and cancellation in plain terms
The figure in your written quote is per vehicle, not per passenger, and it is the figure you pay. Motorway tolls, parking, the driver’s hours, waiting time and VAT are already inside it. There is no meter, no night surcharge, no airport supplement and no holiday premium: the same tariff holds at three in the morning and at midday, weekday or weekend.
Payment
The booking is settled in full at the time it is made, by bank transfer or a secure online payment link payment. Prices are quoted and paid in euro.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the transfer, with the payment returned in full. Inside that window the booking is not refunded. A change of time or address is a different matter: tell us early enough and it can usually be absorbed.
What is never asked of you
No driving licence, no international permit and no age limit. You travel as a passenger rather than a renter, so no damage excess falls to you and nothing about the vehicle is registered in your name.
Starting rates by vehicle class are listed on airport transfer prices; anything unusual is quoted through contact us, normally within the hour during the day, while requests that arrive overnight are answered first thing in the morning.
A licensed operator, its own fleet and its own insurance
Limousine Plus has operated in Istanbul since 2008, registered as İso Coşar Turizm Seyahat Acentası and a TURSAB member under travel agency licence no 11345. The fleet is ours and the chauffeurs are on our own payroll.

Corporate accounts, delegations and larger parties
Many of these bookings are arranged for somebody else: an assistant booking a board member, a travel desk moving a delegation, a concierge covering a guest. That is set up as an account, not as a string of separate bookings.
One account, one invoice
Companies with recurring travel or regular visiting guests are placed on a single account with a fixed team of chauffeurs, a confidentiality undertaking and one point of contact. A framework agreement can be put in place for repeat transfers.

Chauffeurs sign confidentiality terms, and calls and conversations inside the vehicle are never repeated. For corporate and public-facing guests we arrange unmarked vehicles and pickups with no name board at all.
Groups and multiple vehicles
A Mercedes Sprinter VIP takes 10 passengers plus the chauffeur from €40. Above that, several vehicles are coordinated to one schedule, and a Mercedes Bus is quoted by capacity. Rolls-Royce Ghost and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are quoted on request.
For a stay of three days or more we aim to keep the same chauffeur and the same vehicle throughout, and we recommend it; leave and scheduling mean we cannot guarantee it absolutely. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the transfer and the payment is returned in full. How long does the transfer from Istanbul Airport to Taksim take?
Around 45 to 60 minutes in normal traffic; it is the most requested arrival route we drive. Sultanahmet and the old city run 40 to 60 minutes, Beşiktaş and the Bosphorus hotels 45 to 70, Levent and Maslak 45 to 75. Between 16:00 and 20:00 on a weekday, add roughly 20 to 30 minutes to any of those.
Do you offer city-to-city transfers from Istanbul?
Yes. Istanbul to Bursa, Sapanca, Edirne or Çanakkale is driven with the same fleet and the same chauffeurs. Intercity journeys are quoted per route rather than from the standard city list, so send the destination, the date and the number of passengers and we confirm one fixed figure.
Are your vehicles and passengers insured?
Fleet vehicles carry compulsory traffic insurance and personal accident seat cover, and the policies are in the name of our own company, which owns the vehicles — not in the name of a partner operator. Policy and permit documents are not published on the site, but copies go directly to corporate clients, hotels and travel agencies that request them.
